Overview
AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) cloud environments using AWS technologies. This role involves migrating on-premise systems to the cloud, automating cloud-based processes, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure efficiency and security.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and Architecture: Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions using AWS services.
• Migration: Plan and execute the migration of on-premise systems to the AWS cloud.
• Automation: Automate cloud-based processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to develop service catalogs and maintain architectural templates.
• Security: Ensure that cloud environments are secure and compliant with industry standards and best practices working collaboratively with Infrastructure teams
• Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and stakeholders regarding cloud solutions.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in cloud computing, specifically with AWS. Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Experience with cloud deployment.
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Certifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Requirements
• Must hold a Secret Clearance. (Existing CAC holders would be a plus.)
