Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Software Developer, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Build partnerships with other security engineers and work collaboratively with your team and stakeholders to meet shared objectives along with translating epics/stories into technical requirements
Perform application monitoring and develop new solutions to meet different business needs
Code software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers
Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software
Oversee testing and develop fixes
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Monitor and maintain operational readiness of Middleware Applications including applications hosted in AWS cloud
Identify opportunities for system enhancements that will deliver enhanced functionality and/or simplify system administration
Facilitate and develop plans for application changes (including defects fixes, enhancements and/or configuration changes)
Configure and test changes to system including reports, security access, and workflow
Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment
Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested
Perform a variety of tasks
Work under general supervision
Qualifications:
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area
At least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area and has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Experienced mentor with the ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions.
Exposure to osquery, the more you know about osquery the better
Must have knowledge of the windows kernel and develop applications that interact with the Windows NT Kernal
Experience in Windows driver development
Experience in developing or reverse engineering applications that make substantial use of Windows API
Experience in developing applications in c/C++ and Python
Hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Technologies and cloud technologies
Hosted version control familiarity (specifically Git and Gitlab) and ability to customize pipelines
Comfortable performing testing and releases in an environment using CI/CD methodologies
Experience as a developer on an Agile development style team
Experience with at least one modern automation framework (preferably Ansible)
Knowledge of memory protection modules (ASLR/DEP, etc.)
Experience tracing code execution in a debugger
Base understanding of anti-malware logic implemented on Windows Systems (AMSI, Defender)
Experience leading a team of junior/mid developers
Experience with identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in complex applications
Ability to rapidly find bearings in unfamiliar code bases
Knowledge of the modern SDLC practices, Agile methodologies, tools such as Jira, and software configuration tools such as GitHub
Experience Familiar with Zero Trust architectures in addition to zero trust best practices
Services - Expert-level implementation skills in building highly scalable services (SOAP and REST)
Spring - Expert-level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring Data and Spring Integration.
Experience consuming API/web-based services
Experience with HTTP and TCP/IP
A certain degree of creativity and latitude required
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 or the hourly equivalent.
