Project Manager for State of Vermont (must apply by August 21st at 5pm ET)
SSG is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee and manage various health information exchange projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation, coordination, and execution of projects within the scope of Unified Health Data Space (UHDS) Analytics, Provider Directory, VHIE Collaborative Services for the UHDS, and Population Health initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of health information systems.
Key Responsibilities
UHDS Analytics
• Manage the implementation of the CMS Foundational Services project.
• Manage projects related to electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs).
Provider Directory
• Manage the development of the Provider Directory.
• Ensure the accuracy and currency of provider information.
• Facilitate seamless integration with other health information systems.
VHIE Collaborative Services For The UHDS
• Manage MPI integration projects to ensure accurate patient matching and data integration.
• Manage Terminology Services (TS) integration projects for standardized health data exchange.
Population Health
• Manage projects under the Blueprint for Health program.
• Manage projects under the AHEAD Model initiative.
• Manage projects resulting from Act 167 recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project alignment and success.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing various projects (in ‘healthcare’ – preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in health information management, Health Informatics, Business
• Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a required.
• Proven experience with project management, health information exchanges (HIEs), and
• healthcare data analytics.
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations and electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs).
• Knowledge of Master Patient Index (MPI) and Terminology Services (TS) management.
• Familiarity with population health initiatives such as Blueprint for Health, AHEAD Model, and Act 167.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience in working with Healthcare Information Exchanges (HIE).
• Familiar with standardized Project Management Agile methodologies.
• Experience working for State Agencies.
• Experience in MS Project.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
Duration:
The expectation is that these services will be required through the duration of the existing agreement with SSG as the vendor supporting the VHIE, 6/30/2025.
