Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Django Developer with expertise in PostgreSQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building and maintaining web applications using the Django framework, integrating with PostgreSQL databases, and working with APIs. As a developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust, scalable applications that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using Django framework and PostgreSQL.
Design and implement database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure database integrity.
Write efficient, testable, and scalable code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to define software requirements and user stories.
Create and maintain APIs for both internal and external use.
Debug, test, and troubleshoot applications to ensure quality and performance.
Ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews.
Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends to ensure the company stays competitive.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience:
Proven 6+ years of experience in Django development.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and management.
Experience working with RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools is a bonus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Python and Django framework.
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and its extensions, functions, and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with Celery, Redis, or other task queue systems.
Experience in unit testing, continuous integration (CI), and deployment automation.
