The Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics position assists all levels of the organization, providing keen insight into business analytics, revenue cycle, and operational performance through data mining in a proactive manner. This position is responsible for analyzing key business data and operational metrics for the revenue cycle organization, with a concerted focus on presenting opportunities to gain operational efficiencies, as well as the continued development of the current infrastructure. The position is centered in the Emergency Medical Services RCM environment, and experience in those specialty fields is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Manager will act as a key position supporting the EMS revenue cycle operations team. This will include partnering with the domestic and global operations management team to create business analysis evaluating the performance of the area and to interpret and make recommendations for improvements. Focus continuous improvement efforts on understanding business processes, evaluating trends, root cause analysis, identifying data anomalies, presenting findings and recommending improvements.
• Manage business intelligence team and workflow including the management of project tickets, manage scrum meetings, and offer technical and business knowledge support. Maintaining an AGILE environment.
• Responsible for submission of compliance regulatory requests. Includes data gathering, interpretation and evaluation of data and submission/presentation of data.
• Prepare data visualization tools and analysis reports for multiple audiences, including team review meetings, client presentations, executive management, and non-technical audiences.
• Review data, reports and statistical information, analyze trends and render adjustments to team priorities and operations to increase effectiveness.
• Leverage knowledge of database design and structure to engage leadership in presenting new opportunities for increased utilization of database and programing tools to reduce manual effort and improve reports.
• Analyze key performance indicators and business performance metrics to all levels of management and operational leadership.
• Assist with development and database maintenance of the business intelligence & reporting suite. Maintain variety of data integrity techniques to support accuracy in presenting and publishing reports.
• Maintain updated documentation, coordinate workflows and assist in creation of reports.
Qualifications:
• 5 + years of related financial/business analytical experience. Healthcare or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience is preferred, but not required .
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare/Operations Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other analytical disciplines preferred (MA/MS preferred)
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access, including PivotTables and understanding of queries.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fluid and rapidly changing Healthcare environment.
• Possess ability to work independently, not requiring significant direction.
• Experience using visual analytics dashboards and/or other reporting tools, Power BI preferred.
• Experience with modern relational databases for ad hoc analyses.
• Intermediate knowledge and working experience with data manipulation tools.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Excel/PivotTables and querying tools through MS Access and/or SQL Server Management Studio.
