Position Summary
The Lim Lab at Indiana University School of Optometry is looking to fill a Research Associate position with a proposed start date of February 1, 2025. The Lim Lab uses in vivo and ex vivo multiphoton imaging of mouse models to investigate neurodegenerative disorders, including glaucoma. The position entails managing laboratory mice, conducting experiments (animal surgery, tissue preparation and immunohistochemical staining), maintaining laboratory supply requisition and management, and training junior level staff.
The School of Optometry has an extensive clinical program, and highly visible research and graduate program with numerous collaborations with other disciplines within the Indiana University campus and beyond. The university is a major research university founded in 1820. It currently enrolls over 34,000 undergraduates and 7,500 graduate and professional students on the Bloomington campus. Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in animal research and molecular biology
