We have an opportunity for a Data Governance & Data Strategy Manager located in North Carolina (NC) or Florida (FL). Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. The candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing policies, procedures, and standards for managing an organization’s data assets. Manage accounts of all sizes by representing Lifescale Analytics externally with clients and internally by working with direct reports and supporting positions

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing data governance policies and procedures. These policies and procedures should cover areas such as data definitions, data quality standards, data security, data retention, and data privacy.
• Familiar with Data Stewardship practices managing and overseeing data assets to ensure their accuracy, accessibility, and security throughout their lifecycle.
• Ensure that data management processes are effective, efficient, and in line with the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes data collection, data storage, data processing, data analysis, and data dissemination.
• Responsible for ensuring that data quality standards are met, and data is accurate, complete, and consistent. This includes conducting data quality assessments, developing data quality metrics, and monitoring data quality performance.
• Facilitate data access and sharing across the organization. This includes working with data owners and stakeholders to ensure that data is shared in a manner that is secure, consistent, and complies with regulations and policies.
• Ensure that data privacy and security policies are in place and that the organization follows data protection regulations. This includes implementing data security measures, conducting security audits, and responding to security incidents.
• Integrate new digital customer channels seamlessly into existing enterprise applications to give an enhanced data-driven customer experience.
• Create visualizations through analytics so the executive team and business can see results and benefits.
• Develop existing relationships with our current clients and manage a portfolio of assigned clients.
• Manage accounts of all sizes by representing Lifescale Analytics externally with clients and internally by working with direct reports and supporting positions

Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or related fields.
• Experience in leading data governance initiatives and managing teams is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills are critical for success in this role.
• An ability to communicate complex data governance concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and be able to lead cross-functional teams to achieve data governance objectives.
• Database Management Systems (DBMS) like SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Data Integration Tools such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and middleware
• Data Quality Tools for profiling, cleansing, and monitoring data.
• Metadata Management tools to manage data definitions, lineage, and business glossary.
• Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure uniformity, accuracy, and accountability of shared data.
• Data Security and Privacy Tools, including encryption, access controls, and compliance software (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA tools).
• Big Data Platforms like Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems for processing large datasets.
• Cloud Services for data storage, compute, and analytics, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for data visualization and reporting.
• AI and Machine Learning Platforms for predictive analytics and data modeling.
• Data Governance Software specifically designed for policy enforcement, data cataloging, and workflow management, like Collibra, Informatica, or IBM Data Governance
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.
