Who We Are:
EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a next-generation, development-stage immune-oncology company which is developing novel trispecific T cell engagers with integrated CD2 costimulation to optimize anti-tumor immunity to overcome the therapeutic challenges of cancer cell resistance. Our lead program based on our EVOLVE therapeutic platform will enter the clinic in 2025. We conduct our R&D, including internal protein engineering and biotherapeutics discovery, immunobiology and translational sciences, at our dedicated, state-of-the-art laboratories located in Branford, CT.
The Role:
EvolveImmune seeks a talented and motivated Scientist to join our Translational Sciences Group at our Branford, CT facility. The ideal candidate has a strong positive attitude and is willing to contribute scientifically in a fast-paced biotech environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly collaborative and creative scientist eager to position novel immunotherapies in the cancer immunology treatment landscape. Close collaboration and matrix working with Immunobiology, Biotherapeutics, and Translational Science team members are expected. We seek a talented, highly motivated scientist to execute translational immunology and biomarker research to support IND-enabling activities and planned phase I clinical studies in oncology. Experience in immune-assay development and validation is required. Expertise in human immunology and T-cell immunobiology is preferred. The role involves experimental design (CRO and internal) and execution (bench work), and interpretation and presentation of results. Accurate data recording, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard procedures are critical for success in this role. Evidence for a track record of scientific and project achievements is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Immunobiology, Biotherapeutics, and Translational Science teams to ensure proactive sharing of scientific know-how across the organization
• Design and conduct in vitro studies with an emphasis on immunological testing of human and animal samples using state-of-the-art techniques, including immune cell functional assays, multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell separation, multiplex assays, cell toxicity, and proliferation assays
• Perform immune-monitoring-related experiments on clinical samples (tumor, whole blood, PBMC, sera, etc.)
• Provide scientific input to optimize project progression
• Maintain records of experiments in electronic notebooks, analyze data, and prepare presentations
• Deliver clear, concise presentations at portfolio and project meetings to enable organizational alignment
• Support the authoring of essential internal and regulatory documents
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in immunology or a related field with 0-3+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience
• Patient-focused - dedication to enabling the translation of preclinical research into impactful human therapies
• Capable of clarifying problems and working in collaboration with team members to identify solutions
• Ability to independently design and execute research plans for one or more programs and to rapidly review, analyze, and interpret experimental results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with immunology, biochemistry, and molecular methods (e.g., multicolor flow cytometry to phenotype diverse populations; PBMC and purified primary immune cell functional assays; proteomic analysis using multiplex assay such as MSD, Luminex; western blot analysis; mRNA analysis)
• Experience in immune-oncology, extensive data analytics, and in vitro experimental experience with biologics is a plus.
• Data analysis experience with GraphPad Prism and general knowledge of routine statistical analysis is also preferred.
This role is a full-time, in-person position in EvolveImmune's laboratories in Branford, CT.
