Our Smart Grid Department is looking for an Associate Remote Sensing Data Scientist to join their team in Jupiter, FL. This candidate will work on a team of Geospatial Analysts, Engineers and Data Scientists using aerial imagery and 3D lidar point clouds to perform analytics and automate workflows.
Analysis may be performed locally or in the cloud, but we often work with big data and are looking to develop highly automated processes for feature extraction from lidar and aerial imagery.
This will require custom model development and workflows in support of our remote sensing and geospatial efforts. Common software and programming skills include ArcGIS Pro, Python, R, SQL, GitHub, LAStools, Photogrammetry, STAC, and Terrasolid suite.
The selected candidate will :
• Work closely with lidar acquisition team to automate processes,
• Work with data science team to develop machine learning models and automated workflows for imagery and 3D lidar point cloud analytics,
• Work on large-scale datasets, creating scalable, robust, and accurate remote sensing solutions.
