We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aid (PCA) Spanish Speaker to provide essential support in a home community care setting. This role involves working closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their daily needs are met while fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist.
Duties
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor client health and well-being.
Skills
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary requirements.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Basic understanding of medication administration procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
Evergreen Health Care Management is seeking PCA's in the areas of Northern Virginia - Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun County.
Required Documents for Hire:
• 2 forms of ID (one being something saying you can work in the U.S.; i.e. Greencard, Passport, Citizenship Certificate)
• Social Security Card
• PCA Certificate or License (we also offer PCA certification classes)
• TB Test within the past year
It's a must have a current driver’s license, a reliable vehicle for transportation, and a clean criminal background.
