Position Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MuleSoft Programmer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API development, integration patterns, and cloud/on-premise hybrid solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless communication between applications and systems.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $109,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $175,000.00

California Minimum: $104,000.00
California Maximum: $166,000.00
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integrations to connect various systems, applications, and databases.
• Lead architecture design and review sessions for MuleSoft-based integration projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components such as API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Studio.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, design specifications, and API documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance, system integration, and data flow.
• Monitor, optimize, and improve the performance of MuleSoft integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on MuleSoft best practices and integration strategies.
• Participate in the development and enforcement of coding standards, testing protocols, and other IT policies.
• Stay up to date with MuleSoft technology advancements and proactively recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of experience in programming analysis or enterprise integration development
Desired skills:
• Familiarity with Java, XML, and JSON programming languages.
• Experience with Salesforce, ERP systems, and other enterprise platforms.
• 3 years of experience using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Strong knowledge of API management and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, etc.).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hybrid integration environments.
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft connectors, DataWeave transformations, and RAML/OpenAPI specifications.
• Proficiency in using MuleSoft Anypoint Studio and Mule ESB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Ability to develop and implement scalable and reusable APIs that support a large volume of transactions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Architect) are preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
