**Overview:**
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Biostatistics Faculty (Assistant Professor) to provide leadership in statistical design and data analysis for research activities, as well as supervise and mentor MS-trained staff statisticians or direct them on projects. **Responsibilities:**
• Provide leadership in statistical design and data analysis for research activities
• Serve as a collaborative investigator on grant applications, study implementation, and data analysis for scientific dissemination through publications and presentations
• Supervise and mentor MS-trained staff statisticians or direct them on projects
• Contribute to the education and training of students, fellows, and faculty members in the areas of statistical design and analysis
• Engage in statistical methodology research
• Represent the Department in various college and university committees
• *Qualifications:**
Doctorate in biostatistics/statistics, strong computing skills including extensive SAS and/or R experience, and excellent oral/written communication skills.
