The Mission Systems Global Trade (GT) Value Stream Lead (VSL) supports the export and import control processes, ensuring compliance with trade laws and regulations while providing subject matter expertise to internal customers.
The Global Trade VSL is responsible for proactively working with respective business representatives to provide strategic compliance guidance in support of key business objectives/programs, while facilitating compliance with U.S. Export Regulations and governing law. This position is responsible for developing insight into the business strategic objectives, translating those objectives into solutions from an export licensing and compliance perspective, facilitation of the scoping and planning of those solutions, and coordinating the execution of those solutions through a partnership with business representatives and the Mission Systems Global Trade team.
As a Global Trade Value Stream Lead, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Collins Global Trade Program (training, policies, processes, implementation & metrics); using digital technology and internal safeguards to manage transfers compliantly and efficiently; ensuring compliant transfers of physical goods and intangible items; sanctions and embargo compliance. This role also includes responsibilities for leading and managing projects related to authorizations and global trade, both at the Mission Systems and Collins level.
What You Will Do:
• Draft and submit DDTC and BIS export authorization applications
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand export licensing requirements to meet business needs
• Assist customers in understanding and implementing standard work/written procedures for implementation of GT control processes
• Identify compliance risks, assist on audits and development of plans to eliminate/mitigate GT risks
• Partner with the business to facilitate continuous GT Program growth and sustainment

Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
• Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) experience
• Experience interpreting and implementing compliance policies and procedures
• Experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Qualifications We Prefer:
• U.S. citizenship is preferred, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearances
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of the various Global Trade regulations
• Strong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Experience interpreting and implementing compliance policies and procedures
• Proactive, responsive, self-motivated, receptive to change
• Attention to detail and strong record management competency
