Administrative Assistant Position
Wormleysburg Borough
Essential Functions:
• Reports to the Borough Manager and provides administrative support
• Perform general office duties of administrator assistant, filing, data entry, communications, basic accounting, copying documents, form processing and assist with the banking
• Serves as first point of contact to the community and promotes exceptional public relations to the public, service providers, and staff
• Attend monthly Council meetings to record and transcribe the meeting minutes
• Prepare quarterly utility billing including preparation of bills, collection and deposit of payments, data entry, final utility requests, and preparing all associated reports
• Serve as backup to accounts payable
• Manage hall and park reservations and maintain the event calendar
• Oversee maintaining the website and social media sites
• Receive and distribute borough mail and other correspondence
• Maintains the confidentiality of all confidential information, policies, and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Municipal experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years minimum office administration experience
• Criminal background check and drug testing
Knowledge:
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must possess exceptional data entry skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
