This position is vital to the overall functioning of the Senior Center. The Senior Center Support Staffis responsible forassisting a large volume of participants, visitors, and callers with a wide variety of inquiries. The Senior Center Support Staff is the first point of contact for everyone entering the building. The Senior Center Support Staff will need to be comfortable with fitness equipment to facilitate fitness orientations.
Weekly Schedule
Wednesdays, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Thursdays, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Fridays, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Meet and greet participants, vendors, identified stakeholders, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Assist participants, volunteers, and visitors with the sign-in process.
Effectively determine the nature of inquiries and direct visitors and callers to the appropriate staff member or resource.
Maintain a neat and organized work space at all times.
Answer incoming calls in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.
Transfer calls, as needed, to appropriate staff members.
Communicate effectively with Senior Center Support Specialist about upcoming programs and changes in the schedule log.
Follow all Center money handling procedures for receipt and documentation of monies.
Receive hot meals and frozen meals for Home Delivered Meals Program.
Ensure hot meals are picked up by Home Delivered Meal volunteer by designated time.
Maintain Frozen Meal log and assist clients with pick-up.
Makes reminder calls for weekly, monthly, and special events.
Make coffee as needed.
Fitness Orientation Facilitation.
Maintain and organize registration and fitness forms.
Updating board outside with upcoming program information.
Providing senior center tours for new members.
Assist seniors with making copies or sending faxes.
Maintaining and updating the community board.
Assist with cleaning tasks.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Center Supervisor and Senior Center Support Specialist.
