Job Description: Manufacturing Optimization Engineer
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating, designing, developing, and testing new concepts to improve performance metrics in our product manufacturing areas. Your duties will also include modifying or repairing machine components, creating prototypes, managing capital improvement projects, designing modifications to production machines, installing and testing new machine designs, and providing technical support and training to our team members. In addition, you will have opportunities to travel to other locations, meet vendors and customers, and attend trade shows and training sessions.
Hard Skills:
• A minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing engineering is needed for this position, with a preference for those who have worked in the automotive manufacturing sector
• Strong project management skills are essential to successfully navigate the complexities of purchasing and integrating new equipment into an existing system
• As competition for engineering jobs continues to increase, proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD, Inventor, and AutoDesk can make the difference between a successful or unsuccessful application
Soft Skills:
• The ability to stay on track with timelines and financial budgets is a keystone of project management success
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Remarkable proficiency in collaborating and exchanging information among team members
• The ability to provide effective training sessions and instruction is a valuable skill set for both teachers and trainers
The job being offered is a full-time, permanent position.
The role demands complete on-site attendance in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The work environment is fast-paced, and more than 500 million items are produced yearly, including automotive wheel weights and battery terminals. The manufacturing operations are diverse and include stamping, die casting, powder coating, and the use of PLCs and robotics.
