Our growing Product & Design organization is seeking an experienced, technical Product Manager, B2B API Platform. This instrumental position will support our fast-growing B2B trading services business, primarily working with our growing list of partners who use our award-winning trading software to train futures traders in an exciting, simulated environment. These partners expect NinjaTrader to deliver its trading platform reliably, scale for their user growth, and provide an excellent API experience.
As the Product Manager in this team, you’ll build and execute the roadmap for all the platform and integration aspects of this business, working closely with our internal engineering team and those of our partners. The ideal candidate will help the organization consistently deliver customer value using their extensive experience and best practices to innovate, drive, and deliver impactful products and services that will differentiate our offerings and delight our partners.
In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with our business leadership, engineering, design, compliance and product teams to deliver against the product vision and strategy for the Evaluation Services business
• Identify partner and user needs and pains point through discovery processes, interviews, data analysis
• Set and execute against a roadmap that delivers outstanding value to partners and their developers
• Interact with partners and internal product teams daily to validate product ideas/requirements and prototypes
• Author clear, organized, user-centric API documentation
• Understand operational processes and important metrics with an eye on creating efficiencies through internal product introduction or expansion
• Understand NinjaTrader's current product position and keep a finger on the pulse of the competitive landscape to understand competitor value propositions and how they relate to NinjaTrader
• Write PRDs, manage backlogs, prioritize features vs tech debt
Key Job Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager focused on platform, APIs or integrations
• Computer science background or equivalent technical experience
• Experience building and shipping APIs and API platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, taking complex or ambiguous topics and distilling them for business stakeholders and/or clients
• Demonstrated ability to lead zero to one initiatives affecting many functions across the business, including effective influencing and prioritization
• Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating needs and pain points into product value
• Experience working in a high performing product-engineering environment, with the ability to teach best practices to your colleagues
• Experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and Operations
• Team player mentality
• Trading industry experience, especially futures, a major plus
