IT Senior Software Developer
SALARY: ENTRY: $90,143.30 MAX $150,348.64 Annually
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s degree. Five years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with the following is preferred:
• Analysis, development of server tier object-oriented software/application solutions
• Supporting complex, highly integrated applications in large organizations, including troubleshooting, application upgrades, data import, export, and conversion,
• Investigating, troubleshooting, analyzing, and documenting application errors or performance degradation due to various causes, executing root cause analysis, and creating remediation plans.
• Working independently with various customers, internal teams, and third-party vendors.
• Gathering and documenting requirements and business processes for current and future states, and developing scopes of work, estimates, and other project related documentation
• MSSQL Server or Oracle database development
• Visual Studio, .NET Framework
• Understanding of Web Services and APIs, JSON, RESTful, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and creating, maintaining, and managing interfaces between complex systems.
• Experience with the development of modern applications.
• Understanding of Active Directory
• Writing comprehensive technical design specifications and support documentation
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff
• Developing native mobile applications (Android, iOS, Windows)
• Managing projects throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience with the following technologies is preferred:

The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that meet both existing and new business requirements, including integration with both internal and external County systems. The role also involves setting up and maintaining technical solutions, server configurations, analyzing system failures and performance issues, and implementing effective problem resolutions. Additionally, the position includes participation in upgrade projects and requires professional interaction with stakeholders to understand Human Capital Management (HCM) business practices. The focus of the work is on understanding business processes and requirements to provide the best solutions, whether through the implementation of a vendor package or the development of a custom application. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, reengineering, and upgrading existing systems to ensure they meet evolving business needs.
