About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Consultant for the Wells Fargo Auto Strategic Reporting Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights that support business decisions by developing reports and ad hoc requests to support RCSA, management decisions, controls, customer redress, and regulatory needs. In addition, you will be heavily involved in change deliver activities related to modernizing Wells Fargo Auto's servicing system and enhancing the associated data environment.
In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with the Auto Operations, Credit Risk, Corporate Controllers, and Corporate Credit and COE stakeholders to design reports in order to mitigate risk on a given process.
• Use advanced programming skills in SQL to write, modify, and test data extraction used in reports.
• Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence tools (SRSS, Power BI, Tableau)
• Perform data discovery and investigation to ensure that the data meets the business objectives.
• Provide consulting, requirements analysis, and recommendations to various teams within the business and technology.
• Coordinate highly complex activities and provide guidance to other analysts and programmers and serve as a subject matter expert on reporting and dashboards.
• Collaborate with the technology team to implement and automate the reporting solutions.
• Make decisions in complex situations requiring solid understanding of data structures, domain-specific knowledge and the end user experience that impact the final data visualization product, which includes dashboards, reports, insights, or analyses
• Influence and lead a broader work team to deliver data and visual outputs and new initiatives to inform strategy and decision making by the company
• Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals related to assessing business needs and producing actionable insights and trends, leveraging data visualization and business intelligence
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of SQL experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Strong SQL demonstrated programming skills with the ability to manipulate volumes of data.
• Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence tools (SRSS, Power BI, Tableau)
• Problem solving, critical thinking and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and location.
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Experience with Wells Fargo Auto data and business systems.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA
