Job Description
As a Staff Backend Engineer in Tink’s Connectivity organization, you will work with other teams that build and maintain the integrations to the Financial Institutions in the U.S. that power all of Tink’s products.
The Connectivity organization is a key team at Tink and works closely with all of our other product and commercial teams to offer industry-leading open banking services.
You will play a meaningful role in securing the success of Tink’s expansion in the U.S. by ensuring the quality and performance of our service. You will help build the connectivity offering with the goal of offering connectivity to 10,000+ financial institutions that will enable Tink to provide premier open banking products.
Working together with our developer teams, building and maintaining the quality of our connections, and collaborating with other internal engineering and platform teams, we will ensure we build the best solutions possible for our customers.
You will be part of making sure Tink and its people continue to grow and find ways to contribute to the industry itself. In this role, you will apply your creativity and out of the box thinking to the overall technical direction of our current and future products. Some days you will be deep in writing code, other days you will lead the architectural design work of new components. While there will be times to work independently, often, you will collaborate closely with cross functional teams, product managers and other specialists.
Essential Functions:
• You will take ownership of the design and delivery of one or more components of a project.
• Collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders, you will work on identifying bottlenecks, removing unnecessary dependencies and creating clearer boundaries between components for the Tink architecture.
• Designing and implementing our data processing infrastructure handling many billions of data points each month.
• Providing oversight, guidance and mentorship to team members contributing to those components.
• Defining the standards of new product features.
• Working with Technical Product Managers to identify and break down solutions into smaller achievable tasks.
• Supporting operation teams in troubleshooting, defect research, issue root cause analysis, and other related activities.
• Partnering with various teams to diagnose, troubleshoot and fix issues that impact customers.

Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
