Network Planning & Optimization Specialist - Lenexa, KS - Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (Rotational Weekends)

Coordinate route data and optimization using RiMMS throughout the Logistics Operations Center, including building client and route information into the Megasys database, maintaining Megasys, monitoring productivity and specimen flow, route optimization, and assisting in the implementation of route changes. Reports into Mgr, Network Planning & Optimization.

Pay Range: $47,690+ per year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

• Utilize Rimms to identify opportunities for reducing logistics costs and improving effectiveness using customer and visit data from Megasys.
• Coordinate with Supervisors to maintain (add/delete/modify) client and route data in Megasys to ensure clients are at the correct address, visits are in the correct order with the correct constraints, and route are defined correctly.
• Support and monitor logistics metrics including, but not limited, to route performance, specimen flow, and non-productive stops.
• Help manage the reduction of non-productive stops.
• Interface with Sales staff to establish service levels for new and existing clients.
• Support Manager and Supervisors in implementation of route changes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning information and data received.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience:
• 5 years Logistics experience required
• Valid drivers license, good driving record as defined by the Corporate Safety Policy, working knowledge of the geographic area, and able to read a map.
• Experience with Megasys required

Preferred Work Experience:
• 2-5 years route design and operations preferred
• experience with Rimms is a plus.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Position requires travel
• Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
• Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
• May require extended periods of focus
• May require extended periods of sitting or standing
• Ability to manage stress
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Quest Diagnostics Logistics policies and procedures preferred
• Excellent computer skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Access).
