• Programming/Scripting Languages: Proficient in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, C++, and Perl.
• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Strong expertise in NLP techniques and methodologies.
• Computational Linguistics: In-depth knowledge of linguistic structures: morphology, syntax, semantics, phonology, and phonetics.
• Data Analysis: Ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex datasets under deadlines.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in completing annotation tasks and handling priorities.
Responsibilities
• Develop a thorough understanding of annotation guidelines and tools used for natural language data.
• Accurately annotate data according to established deadlines, adhering strictly to guidelines.
• Conduct qualitative error trend analysis to identify and resolve ambiguities in NLP data.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning Data Linguists to address inconsistencies and improve annotation processes.
• Provide constructive feedback to Language Engineers regarding annotation methodologies and tools.
• Lead and manage data analysis projects, offering insights based on customer performance reports and user utterances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve false positives in NLP systems, enhancing user experience.
• Analyze customer requirements and identify opportunities for new features within NLP applications.
• Work closely with AI engineering teams to drive innovative solutions.
Qualifications
• Clearance: Must have an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, Computer Science (with a focus on Linguistics), or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in delivering real-world software solutions utilizing Natural Language Processing or related fields.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in one or more modern programming languages (Java, C#, C++, PERL, Python).
• Linguistic Knowledge: Strong understanding of the structural aspects of different languages.
• Preferred Experience: Background in a DoD contracting environment and in developing high-quality briefings.
