• This position will be filled as Nuclear Chemist Grade 1, 2 or 3 depending on experience.*
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Under direct supervision and after completion of a tiered training program and qualifications, must be able to perform complex chemistry program work:
• Assist and conduct testing on various types of samples using laboratory equipment for chemistry parameters including radioactivity.
• Assist in laboratory work as directed.
• Inspect, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Be capable of recognizing and evaluating chemistry data
• Prepare records and reports
• Perform necessary housekeeping as per Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Institute for Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) endorsed regulations and standards.
• Perform numerous tasks daily in the field including collecting samples and readings, moving heavy objects in accordance with safety standards, offloading chemical trucks, etc. as assigned. These tasks are necessary to complete in the outside environment and in hot machinery spaces year-round.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma
Highly Preferred Requirements:
• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or other technical related field
• Navy Nuclear ELT School
• Laboratory experience in a nuclear, environmental, industrial, or other operational type settings

• Must pass the EEI TECH test

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Must live within 60 minutes of the site. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. This position is labor intensive.
