Our client is a biotechnology company dedicated to developing first-in-class and best-in-class targeted cancer therapies. Their portfolio pursues each target with a modality appropriate to its biology, including immunotherapies, targeted effectors, radioligand therapies and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry to advance our client's portfolio of radioligand therapy (RLT) and antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) programs. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with expertise in Medicinal Chemistry and proven track record of leading discovery research programs. In this role, the successful candidate will lead efforts for design, synthesis and screening of molecules leading to the identification of novel linker-payloads for ADCs and ligands for targeted radioligand therapy. As a Principal Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in steering our client's research programs to develop first-in-class and best-in-class targeted cancer therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Lead Medicinal Chemistry for a RLT or ADC discovery research program.
Scientific Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of medicinal chemistry principles to design and optimize small molecules for RLT and linker-payloads for ADCs.
Innovation: Drive innovation in the design and synthesis of novel ADC payloads, linker technologies, and ligands for RLT to maximize therapeutic potential.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biology, pharmacology, and ADME/PK, to ensure seamless integration and communication across research and development efforts.
Innovative Research: Drive innovation in the design and synthesis of novel ADC payloads, linker technologies, and ligands for RLT to maximize therapeutic potential.
Intellectual Property: Contribute to the development of intellectual property through patent filings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· A Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with a minimum of eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
· Proven track record in the development of small molecule targeted radioligand therapy and/or linker-payloads for ADC drug candidates.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of scientists.
· Ability to solve complex scientific problems and make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· A history of successful publications, patents, and contributions to the field.
