Position Overview for the Azure SQL DBA:
This individual will lead & execute cloud migration projects from On-prem SQL Server to Azure SQL, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime. Will implement best practices for database security and compliance with data privacy regulations, incorporating access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
Required Skills for the Azure SQL DBA:
• 5+ years’ experience as a database administrator – Designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL Server and Azure Databases
• Experience moving SQL on-prem databases to Azure cloud
• Experience with Data platforms to support high volume OLTP systems (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Postgres, Azure SQL)
• Experience designing, developing, and enhance ETL processes using Azure Data Factory
• Experience with scripting languages: Python, PowerShell
