What You Will Be Doing
High-level job responsibilities:
Collaborate with Director to develop regional strategy to attract new customers, retain existing customers and increase market share. Lead regional teams to establish national execution plans for the field team. Deliver market performance results and feedback to senior leadership. Manage and influence retail partner’s profitability to ensure financial health. Build relationships throughout territory with external partners, internal team and vendor partners to help drive performance. Additional point of contact for escalated issues within region. Working with a team of Regional Sales Managers and Directors to ensure regional and national strategies are executed effectively.
Day-to-day Job Responsibilities
• Works alongside Director to ensure all key initiatives and performance objectives are achieved within region
• Manage the distribution growth plan for the region by developing annual goals and implementing strategy throughout the region
• Create daily, weekly and monthly action plans that prioritize key initiatives for the Indirect Sales Managers and Account Executives
• Participate in business reviews with dealer partners led by Indirect Sales Managers
• Planning and creating weekly agendas for the field team nationally to ensure a consistent training message is delivered
• Work with local marketing to coordinate quarterly marketing campaigns within the region
• Complete store visits with Indirect Sales Managers and Account Executives to coach on overall visit effectiveness
• Proactively identify needs of the region and field team to develop and implement solutions to effectively address issues
• Partner with operations, finance and real estate teams to achieve regional objectives
• Daily communication with dealer partners and direct distribution partners to drive sales metrics, retail distribution and profitability
Skills And Experience
High-level qualifications:
Must be skilled at managing a team of field sales managers. Display confidence communicating with senior leadership. The ability to show critical thinking skills and develop strategy that has impact regionally and nationally. Must work well with a team of Regional Sales Managers and Directors. Must demonstrate a strong ability to effectively manage multiple projects while balancing key priorities.
Specific Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license, three years of active driving history, successfully completed driver’s safety training, and otherwise comply with DISH’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree and six years related work experience or ten years sales management experience
• Three years supervisory or management experience
• Three years account management experience
• Three years direct or indirect retail channel experience
• One year selling wireless products or services
• Contract or vendor relationship experience
