Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Data Scientist for our Enterprise Solutions - Data-Digital-Inno team.
This job can be done remotely anywhere in the US.

Salary:
This is a full-time position based on a 37.5-hour work week. The starting annual salary is between $90,403 - $140,000, based on level of previous experience and/or applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company’s annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.

Position Summary:
As a Data Scientist, you’ll develop custom data models, algorithms, and predictive models to increase and optimize customer experiences and to further enhance our pricing capabilities. Beyond the data, you’ll have the opportunity to communicate findings and trends to key stakeholders across the company. We navigate our projects through the entire data science lifecycle, from problem definition to data exploration, data wrangling, modeling, analysis, and deployment into production. We maintain a close partnership with IT to ensure that our models can be deployed quickly and monitored on an ongoing basis. You will be a member of this diverse and highly skilled team, working in a highly collaborative, team environment to drive strategically aligned business outcomes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field and 3+ years of work experience in building machine learning models or PhD in a related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of when to apply predictive modeling techniques such as logistic regression, time series, neural networks, random forest, boosting, text mining, clustering, deep learning, optimization, etc.
• Proficiency in analytical programming languages like SAS, R, Python, etc.
• Experience exploring and manipulating large amounts of structured and unstructured data using SQL
• Writing SQL queries including Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, and aggregate functions to perform data transformation and analysis
• Using data to identify and visualize trends, patterns, or correlations in a large dataset
• Using Scikit Learn or TensorFlow for model building in a live production environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including storytelling and other methods to guide, inspire, and provide insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Intellectual curiosity, and drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
