We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The Safety Coordinator must have at least five years of experience in vertical, tunnel, or heavy civil construction, along with an active BCSP CHST credential or GSP designation
Duties
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees on various topics such as CPR, first aid, and OSHA regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Maintain records of all safety training and incidents
- Fabricate reports on safety metrics and present findings to management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to address any safety concerns or issues
Requirements
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation laws and Occupational Health standards
- Experience in report writing and conducting root cause analysis
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) practices
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of the organization
