Role Overview ID.me is looking for a Software Development Engineer V (Frontend) - Developer Portal to shape the business's interactions with ID.me and over 100 million members. This team manages the business onboarding lifecycle, policies, analytics, and billing. Your work will enhance user satisfaction and trust, maintain the integrity of member data, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
This role requires onsite presence 5 days per week in Mountain View, CA.
Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain efficient, interactive, and responsive user interfaces.
Deliver complex features independently and oversee team deliverables.
Guide team members and stakeholders to solve problems and build optimal solutions.
Maintain and refactor old code while writing modern services.
Demonstrate mastery of object-oriented programming languages and tools.
Solve complex technical problems with varying degrees of ambiguity.
Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Own and ship features end to end with thorough test coverage and documentation.
Collaborate on larger projects while shipping smaller and medium features with minimal guidance.
Translate UX/UI designs into actual code.
Define application functionality and optimize for scalability, maintainability, and speed.
Qualifications 8+ years of front-end development experience, including server-side rendering.
Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, REST APIs, and Git.
Strong understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Experience with B2C/B2B applications, particularly user onboarding and dashboards.
Exposure to A/B testing strategies and result interpretation.
Experience in a containerized, cloud-based ecosystem.
Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications Obsession for building quality products.
Ability to thrive with changing priorities.
Strong communication skills and a self-managing work ethic.
Passion for software engineering and continuous improvement.
Experience with React and Ruby on Rails.
Startup experience.

The annual base salary for this role is based on experience, skills, education, and location. Company bonuses, equity, and benefits are also available.

Mountain View, CA Pay Range: $217,565 - $238,841 USD
