Terms: In-person work at the in Tumwater, WA for up to a week at a time as often as every three months.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design technology solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
• Recommend solutions that align with the organization's modernization goals.
• Evaluate business requirements to understand the technical needs of projects.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure recommended solutions fit within the enterprise architecture framework.
• Maintain alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
• Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other architects.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and solutions.
• Participate in project planning and execution to ensure architectural integrity.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight during project implementation.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.
• This role is pivotal in ensuring that the technology solutions not only meet current business needs but also position the organization for future growth and technological advancements.
Mandatory Knowledge and/or Skills
• Expert Level experience (minimum of ten years) as an IT Architect or in a similar role.
• Expert level experience and understanding (minimum of ten years) of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.
• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and data management.
• Expert Level experience (minimum of eight years) with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Expert Level experience (minimum of six years) using architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent understanding of security and compliance requirements in enterprise environments.
Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills:
• Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF Certified, Zachman Certified).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement.
• Understanding of data governance and master data management.
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies and patterns.
• Continuous learning mindset with the ability to stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.
