The Role

The success of Global Security Services (GSS) is largely dependent on the stellar ability of the program management team to drive results of the functional program and underlying projects.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate would be a seasoned program and project manager with extensive experience managing project managers, coordinating a cohesive book of work for an entire organization while managing multiple high profile projects simultaneously, understanding workloads, delegating where appropriate, and skilled at managing up and across an organization.

This Senior Manager position will work to support the Global Security Services program. Objectives of this role include:
• Manage all aspects including timelines, budgets, risks, escalations, etc., of large complex programs throughout the GSS organization including coordination of stakeholders outside of GSS.
• Maintain standardized processes, tools, and templates for project management and constantly mature and evolve these processes and tools to strategically position the PMO as a center of excellence for projects and GSS as a whole
• Oversee multiple project managers, drive consistent and effective execution to ensure program goals are achieved, and skill-build and coach team members where appropriate

Strategically position the PMO to usher the organization into the future within the broader technology organization and Lumen as a company by telling a strategic story of work being done, influence the future roadmap, and highlight the impact of the organization to tell that story of GSS’s value both to GSS and all of Lumen

The Main Responsibilities
• Hiring, training, performance management and career development of project managers.
• Lead a team of project managers who have responsibility to a strategic book of work across the organization
• Drive adherence to standardized processes within the team and beyond
• Identify, build, and maintain solid working relationships with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
• Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and drive program reporting for stakeholders.
• Drive key metric and program reporting across GSS functional leads and CSO.

What We Look For In a Candidate
• 10+ years in an upper management role, preferably program management.
• Thought leadership to develop and deliver against new initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent reporting and data presentation capabilities.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering solutions and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, communication, and organization.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office including a working knowledge of MS Project and Accelerator
• PMP or Scrum Master certification a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$111480 - $148630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$117340 - $156450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$123210 - $164280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$129080 - $172100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
