Summary: Senior Software Engineer (SQL - Crystal Reports) - Healthcare Information Technology
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, analyzing, and managing the data infrastructure needed to support Business Intelligence and Reporting. This position will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle. This individual will work closely with Software Engineers, Reporting Analysts, Business Analysts, End Users and management teams to ensure data infrastructure is secure, stable and concrete.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Design, implement and maintain scalable and efficient data infrastructure to support all incoming data related requests
• Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable code that is scalable
• Perform QA testing and debugging of all written code to ensure it meets accuracy, reliability, and functionality standards
• Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks and other issues found through debugging and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with colleagues from other departments during the project lifecycle
• Create and maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams, prototypes, project plans, user manuals
• Participate in peer-to-peer code review to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices and quality guidelines
• Create SQL views, Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and stored procedures to combine/aggregate data needed for reporting purposes.
• Mentor Reporting Analysts as requested
Minimum Job Requirements
• 4+ years of back-end data focused experience
• 1+ years of healthcare related experience is preferred
• Proficient in SQL and Crystal Reports development
• EZ-CAP software application or other healthcare claims and benefits applications experience is a plus
