As a member of Strategic Marketing and Communications and the university’s Web Collaboration Center, the candidate will develop and execute SEO strategy for content that elevates the Temple’ s reputation and drives enrollment. In collaboration with colleagues including writers, user experience researchers, and web developers, the SEO specialist will develop and inform content that is user-oriented, valuable, usable, sharable, findable and measurable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO principles and excellent analytical, writing and communication skills. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of directly related experience in communications, marketing, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Google Search Console Essential Functions: - Develo p original content that is optimized for search engines - Analyze, review and revise existing content to boost SEO - Possess deep knowledge of SEO best practices, website analytics, search engine algorithms and ranking factors. - Stay abreast of analytics and insights and uses that data to inform all work. - Monitor and analyze website performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress. - Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headings and URLs to improve search engine rankings. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and university partners to provide SEO guidance and support projects. - Research industry trends to ensure SEO strategy aligns with current best practices. - Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities. - Regularly communicate project updates to supervisor, project leadership and department leadership. - Develop and execute effective linking strategies to improve the website's authority and credibility.
