Job Description:
As a Senior Python/Django Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing robust and scalable web applications. You'll work closely with our product teams to design, build, and maintain backend components that power our digital marketing platforms. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Python and Django frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Design and implement high-availability, low-latency, and secure systems.
• Optimize application performance and scalability for large user bases.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code with best practices in mind.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues across various applications and platforms.
• Stay updated on new technologies and trends in Python, Django, and web development.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development and 3+ years working with Django.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong experience with database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a resident of Chicago.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
