SCOPE:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion for Data Center and associated ancillary services while bringing JKTS brand awareness to target audiences. Build a pipeline of potential clients and contacts to create new business opportunities and lead generation through a mix of targeted sales and marketing engagements. Cultivate industry partnerships, effective outreach channels, and client relationships to meet the operations, logistics, and service needs of the Data Center community. Serve as a thread for connecting all a company’s functions and business service offerings to prospects and supply chain optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA or BS in a related field.
• 3-5 years of an established presence and relationship in the Data Center industry preferred.
• Proven and demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and the promotion of value-added differentiators.
• Proven business development closer to new business.
• Providing data for RFI’s and RFPs that have specific reference to a prospect’s buying priorities.
• Experience creating and managing budgets and forecasts.
• Ambitious and self-motivated seller of services.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Experience calculating pricing and figures to include discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, and volumes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement and collaborate on core processes for this new service offering, such as project management, customer onboarding, service delivery, and quality control.
• Develop a CRM approach specifically for this offering, focusing on customer retention, upselling opportunities, and long-term relationship-building.
• Participate in planning for the resources needed (e.g., technology, personnel, budget) and work cross-functionally to manage their effective allocation. This might involve creating initial team structures or integrating existing company resources.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth for JK Technology Services (JKTS) division.
• Effectively convey the company's value proposition and adapt communication style to different audiences and client needs.
• Research the market to identify companies or individuals who fit our customer profile and would benefit from the company's offerings.
• Engage in conversations to understand the prospect's objectives, challenges, and decision-making process to raise the probability of close.
• Create customized proposals that clearly outline how the company's solutions can address the specific needs of the prospect.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and professional gatherings to connect with potential clients and build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Position JKTS as a preferred solutions provider with new data center clients and influencers (e.g., engineering and consulting firms, construction opportunities, etc.).
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive offerings, and potential areas for growth and brand differentiation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understand their needs and present tailored solutions while fostering long-term partnerships.
• Actively post and participate on social media to promote the JKTS brand.
• Attend virtual meetings and networking events to promote JKTS and generate leads.
• Coordinate closely with other departments (like Sales, Marketing, and Product Development) to ensure alignment, avoid duplication, and leverage existing expertise.
• Equip the adjacent services sales team with necessary resources, including service training, pricing models, objection handling, and customer personas to support cross-functional sales practices.
