Job Overview
The Lead Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing data integration initiatives and refining our data management practices. This position necessitates a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and excels in managing multiple concurrent tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead data integration efforts involving both internal and external data sources.
• Ensure that only high-quality code progresses to production while supporting User Acceptance Testing.
• Mentor and guide junior team members throughout the design and development processes.
• Participate in the release process, guaranteeing adherence to best practices in data management.
• Manage multiple data project streams simultaneously to ensure timely delivery per project plans.
Required Skills
• Extensive experience in software development, with a strong focus on Data and Analytics.
• Proficient in complex ELT, ETL processes, and cloud computing technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in utilizing Snowflake and advanced SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Familiarity with scheduling/orchestration tools and CI/CD methodologies.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills, capable of effectively collaborating with clients and team members.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in Data and Analytics frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of the P&C Insurance domain, with experience in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
• Proven ability to lead data integration projects and mentor teams effectively.
