Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design, with proficiency in various software tools and a passion for creating innovative solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute design concepts that meet client needs and project specifications.
Responsibilities
• · Prepare diagrams and drafts for custom wrought iron product
· Grasp production practices in the workplace
· Consult technical handbooks and table while in drafting phase based on building codes
· Use computer aided design and drafting systems to prepare drawings
· Create and store drawings electronically
· Prepare detailed plans and specifications per custom products
· Prepare drawings showing detail and method of assembly for production purposes
· Ability to read and interpret handwritten measurements and drawings, sketches and calculation from the outside sales team
· Ability to gather final measurements in the field
· Perform all tasks assigned by manager in a timely manner
· Reporting to work on time daily and be available for overtime during peak production periods
· Calculate dimension and tolerance using measuring instruments
· Review and modify design to reduce production deficiencies
· Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams
Experience
• A minimum of (3) years of computer Design Drafting, Engineering or related field/equivalent experience.
· Proficient use of Auto Cad, including layers, object property editing, external file referencing and basic drawing techniques.
· Required attention to details and skilled written and verbal communication.
· Ability to read architectural drawings and the willingness to learn workplace processes.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Drafting Experience is preferred in a manufacturing environment.
· Calculations in proportions, volumes, percentages, areas, radius, circumference and cost related to design.
· Read and Write in English.

Pay: $21.95 - $24.11 per hour
