Overview:

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and innovative Senior AI Research Scientist to join our new AI Labs. This research-focused role emphasizes advancing the frontiers of AI through deep exploration of new methodologies and their applications within asset management and beyond. Your work will be integral in driving the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions across the firm.

Role Summary & Job Responsibilities:
• In-Depth Research: Conduct thorough research on topics such as novel neural architectures, retrieval augmented generation, automated reasoning, LLMs, intent detection, and other advanced AI topics.
• Academic Contribution: Publish research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences and journals. Participate actively in the academic community to stay at the forefront of AI research.
• Prototype Development: Develop and refine prototypes based on your research to demonstrate potential applications and impact.
• Performance Analysis: Evaluate AI models and systems rigorously, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Trend Monitoring: Keep current with the latest advancements in Generative AI, machine learning, and AI technologies, ensuring the firm's research efforts align with global innovations.
• Leadership: Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the firm’s educational initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Requirements:
• Education: PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of related research experience OR equivalent experience.
• Domain Expertise: Strong awareness of applications in compliance, sales, investments, and other business units.
• Research Impact: Demonstrated ability to translate research into impactful business solutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch). Strong skills in prompt engineering and data processing.
• Deep understanding of Machine Learning, NLP, AI, GAI, deep learning, LLMs, transformers, statistical language models, and computer vision

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven track record of publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
• Experience participating in and contributing to top conferences in the relevant research domain.
• Practical experience developing AI applications, including reinforcement learning and vector database administration.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work up to three days a week.
