Job Description : The role of a Senior Producer is to work as part of a multidisciplinary content creation team and collaborate with all business units within the wider network to consistently deliver visually excellent work for our clients. You will be responsible for producing a variety of projects ranging from commercials to documentaries, brand films, photography, livestreams, and animations that are fit for TVC, online, social and OOH. You will take a lead in devising the best route forward in each project, paying particular attention to how to achieve a great creative, cost effective and efficient solution.
Drive production schedules to meet agreed delivery deadlines, acting as the main point of contact for all parties throughout the project.
Pro-actively contribute to the ideation process and offer strategic and creative recommendations to push the boundaries and exceed expectations.
Manage all internal and external providers, including production companies, agents, directors etc. and negotiate the best deals whilst maintaining high quality work.
Closely manage the budget (of up to £500,000) for each project ensuring value for money and profit maximisation are balanced, escalating any spend issues to the client.
Use your extensive industry experience to make recommendations of contacts in the industry, based on your understanding of the project and associated context.
Contribute to pitch activity, work to define the approach and scope of projects and help stakeholders to understand the production process that is required to deliver the creative vision.
International travel and overseas working is possible at any time so ownership of valid travel documentation is essential at all times.
Ensure requests are dealt with promptly and that expectations are managed in terms of speed, delivery, and quality of response.
Attend client meetings in a consultative capacity throughout all phases of projects if required.
Distinguish between a good and poor client brief and if necessary, ask the right questions to help formulate a clearer brief before it is accepted.
Administration and financial management
Monitor profitability and ongoing costs throughout assigned projects.
Support the Supervising Producer in mentoring the team, by taking responsibility for the work you and the team produce, ensuring it is completed to the deadline, is of a high quality, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail and ownership.
Actively foster an atmosphere of positive working that allows creative and effective work to flourish.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of other agency departments and manage their involvement in projects appropriately.
Ensure that you keep up to date with relevant industry advancements, and proactively share this internally and externally, as appropriate.
Encourage and ensure your team take advantage of any relevant internal training opportunities including, but not limited to #LXAcademy.
Proactively pursue self-development and training opportunities, assuming joint responsibility with your line manager for regular performance reviews.
