Video Production Consultant

Alderson Loop is looking for a Video Production Consultant to join the Global Brand Video team at a Fortune 500 investment firm. The consultant will be sitting within the Global Brand Marketing organization. The role of the video specialist is responsible for planning, shooting, editing, and animating a wide range of video materials for the IPRC (Investment, Product and Retirement content) editorial team. This role reports into the Global Video team.

Required knowledge and skills:
• Five years’ experience of audio and video production within a professional film/TV/corporate environment.
• Advanced knowledge of, and hands-on experience with both in-studio and field cameras, lighting, and audio systems. Particularly Canon Cinema cameras, PTZ cameras, and Tricaster video switchers.
• Advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud. Specifically, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Media Encoder.
• Working knowledge of industry standard video editing techniques and comfortable with different styles of editing (documentary, commercial, etc.)
• Working knowledge of live event platforms within a studio broadcast environment and remote video production.
• A passion for filmmaking that stays well-informed on current video production/editing techniques and trends.

Responsibilities:
Shooting:
Will pack, transport, set up, shoot, and tear down camera, lighting, audio and required set equipment for both live and recorded productions both within and outside of our production studio(s). Some project assignments may require more advanced shooting strategies and liaison with creative partners. Use of broadcast studio equipment for live and pre-recorded shows.

Producing:
Will be expected to produce a suite of video content (short-, mid and long-form videos, as well as social media cuts) both as part of a larger production team or, as an individual (single/solo) producer. Functions as video producer on numerous concurrent video projects. Meets with business partners to evaluate communication requirements and design appropriate video and media-based solutions. Assists in the development of project planning schedules and securing necessary resources for assigned projects, and consults on the appropriate approach to video.

Video & Audio Editing / Post-production:
Position requires working with and modifying graphic assets produced by others, as well as creating graphic/media assets for animation. Take charge of video editing and post-production, ensuring the content is polished and ready for distribution on various channels (website, social media, etc).Will transfer media and video footage from cameras and other storage media to non-linear editing systems. Will work with others to prepare digital media at all levels, with an emphasis on intermediate to advanced material for release according to a pre-defined schedule. Completes advanced animations, mixed media video, and standard video editing. Will be expected to support with the firm’s investment podcast series, The Angle.

Preferred education, work experience, and skills, though not required:
• Successful completion of post-secondary coursework in video production and/or post-production, film-making
• Proficiency in motion graphics and animation production software
• Work experience in a regulated industry like financial services, pharmaceutical, etc
