Job Title: Sr. Java Architect
Location: Planation, FL
Duration: 6 Month
Will need to come onsite as needed, so local candidates preferred. (Open to 100% remote as secondary option)
Responsibilities
Define the future state technology direction
Build the technology roadmap of initiatives to drive towards the future state
For individual projects, develop solution alternatives that are within the parameters offered by the business for scope, schedule, and budget
Align the technology roadmap to the overall company business strategy
Work to ensure effective IT delivery processes (enterprise architecture, project management, software development lifecycle, release management, etc.)
Train and mentor less experienced technical staff
Own development tools, processes, quality/performance for development work
Hands-on system design and development
Develop estimates and schedules for completing software development projects and enhancements
Be fully accountable for your team's delivery and managing your dependencies towards success
Track and communicate issues, following up with responsible parties for resolutions on open issues
Understand and adhere to industry best practices for delivering high quality code
Define and enforce coding standards and development and deployment methodologies and processes
Ensure that appropriate documentation is created and approved
Consistently measure performance of the application development group and report results
Actively participate in an Agile/SCRUM environment
This role requires solid soft skills in working with offshore teams and significant experience is required in the following areas:
