The Community Corrections Division-Intake Services Unit is seeking an innovative, energetic, self-starter to join the team! We are accepting applications to fill (1) one full-time Administrative Specialist III position. This role is responsible scheduling first appearance court calendars for both the Maleng Regional Justice Center and the King County Correctional Facility. The role requires preparing court calendars through computer data entry, making computer proficiency crucial. The work is highly technical and conducted under limited supervision with strict time constraints. We are seeking a candidate who can multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment, while also collaborating effectively with various individuals.

• Perform lead clerical tasks, data entry, filing, and office support, using independent judgment to handle complex and/or sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Train employees and new hires in the preparation of court calendars to ensure consistent uninterrupted coverage.
• Independently perform clerical office functions, prioritize work assignments, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Deliver daily documents to other county buildings as needed.
• Assist the program supervisor with various tasks as needed.
• Process payroll documents for section staff and maintain the Roster Management Payroll System for the section.
• Provide focused administrative support to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders, including department supervisors, co-workers, and others.
• Order supplies and equipment, make purchases, and submit invoices for timely payment.
• Collaborate with the department records manager for archiving or storing documents.
• Attend necessary training sessions/staff meetings to stay updated on relevant skills and knowledge.
• Modify and update desk procedures related to assigned work as needed.
• Utilize various computer programs and databases, such as JMS/Vantage, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, to maintain, update, enter, and retrieve data related to calendar preparation.
• Perform other related tasks within the area and scope of responsibility as assigned.
• Four (4) years of full time clerical experience including complex administrative functions, and one year
performing high volume customer service.
• Experience maintaining and tracking data, designing and maintaining data sources.
• Intermediate working knowledge of O365 Excel, Word, Outlook and scheduling software.
• Deep knowledge of office practices and procedures.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Extensive knowledge of Jail Management System (JMS) and Roster Management System (RMS)
• Experience within the criminal justice system, coupled with County or State government experience. This type of experience lends to a unique understanding and perspective particularly in navigating the intricate dynamics of the governmental landscape.
