Please note this is a remote-based role and the ideal candidate will reside in the Eastern or Central coast of the United States; Memphis, TN preferred.

About the Role:

Market Access & Reimbursement is a newly created function within Convatec. This role did exist as an independent role within the acquired Triad Lifesciences business which is now known as the Advanced Tissue Technologies (ATT) business unit - which is part of the North America Advanced Wound Care Business Unit.

This role will now be part of the newly formed Market Access COE and report into the Vice President, Market Access and Reimbursement.

The key objective of the role is to support the rapid growth of the ATT business by optimizing reimbursement pathways in the different sales channels within the US. This will involve focus on key strategic decisions as reimbursement changes within the US are planned and ongoing.

Working across the different reimbursement channels within the US will be key to ensure we maximize coverage of our portfolio across all channels. This includes but is not limited to expanding our coverage in the private payor segment – a key strategic goal for the future - as well as maximizing coverage in existing channels such as Physician Office site of care, HOPD and Acute, and future channels such as home based care.

It will also involve day to day support for the commercial teams as they work with customers to ensure reimbursement is at the appropriate levels. This will be done through working and supporting the in-house Insurance Verification team – predominantly based in Memphis.

This will be a pivotal role in driving our ATT business strategy within the evolving US market access and reimbursement landscape.

It will also include working closely with our Medical and Clinical Affairs (MACA) team to recommend clinical and health economic studies and health economic data analysis. As well as our Research and Development teams as we develop new products within the Innovamatrix platform.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Work with ATT General Manager and AWC Strategy lead to predict and shape future reimbursement options and implications for ATT US.
• Cultivate and manage strategic relationships, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Immediately support active Market Access initiatives within ATT by focusing on Market Access, Value Demonstration, Pricing and Strategy, Landscape and Opportunity Assessment, Innovation adoption.
• Maintain relationships with industry bodies and lobbyists to track development of market dynamics and trends
• Proactively drive coverage for Innovamatrix across the different reimbursement channels served by ATT.
• Resolve customer-specific reimbursement issues in partnership with the commercial and in house support teams.
• Maintain the Red Book file for ATT on a quarterly basis.
• Review and respond to proposed changes to the CMS fee schedules.
• Review and respond to any Local coverage decision changes by Medicare Administrators
• Engage with the Medical and Clinical team on study design to ensure it is optimized to secure product reimbursement coverage.
• Work closely with finance and commercial to resolve reimbursement disputes and expedite physician payment.
• Secure HCPCS codes for new Innovamatrix versions.
• Work with legal and external partners to ensure pricing and rebate program compliance.

Role Relevant Experience and Skills:
• Demonstrable experience in similar global position within the MedTech industry with, extensive experience in global and regional Market Access
• Master’s degree in Health Economics/Market Access, MBA, or equivalent level of experience
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of US healthcare systems and policies and a broad network of relevant experts and stakeholders
