Springfield College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of biology position in the Biology/Chemistry Department for the Fall 2024 semester. Ideal candidates would be able to teach Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology, and their related laboratory courses. Experience teaching A & P at the college level is preferred. There is potential for a renewed appointment in a future year. All of these courses will meet face-to-face on the Springfield, MA campus. Preference is given to candidates who are excellent and innovative teachers and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM education.Candidates must possess at minimum a Master's Degree in Biology or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology, and/or related lab courses at the college level is preferred. Graduate students who have completed two years of a scientific PhD program will also be considered.
