Senior Data Scientist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Los Angeles, CA.

Data Analysis:
• Senior Data Scientist will analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns
• Perform exploratory data analysis to inform model development and refinement
• Collaborate with clinical experts to understand and incorporate domain-specific knowledge into models

Model Development and Optimization:
• Design and develop machine learning models with the software engineering team
• Ensure models are scalable, robust, and performant in real-world clinical settings
• As a Senior Data Scientist, you will monitor and evaluate model performance, making improvements as necessary
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in machine learning and medical imaging

Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Communicate technical progress and challenges to stakeholders, including executive leadership
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and presentations

Quality and Compliance:
• Implement best practices for data management, model development, and deployment
• Senior Data Scientist will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FDA)
• Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance and user experience
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred
• 7+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning and medical imaging
• Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in production
• Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and their application in image processing
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C and C++
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
• Experience with regulatory compliance and standards in healthcare is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
