Job Description

Candidates must be local to Chicago, LA or New York City and be committed to working onsite 3 days/week.

As a Social Strategist at Razorfish, you will be joining our 80+ person social discipline within our fast-growing Consumer & Content Experience practice.

In this role, you will be working on a newly launched sports-focused streaming service – creating social-first experiences that break through feeds across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X.

This job specifically focuses on successfully launching and building the brand’s social channels from the ground up, differentiating it from other competitors in the market and quickly attracting a wide range of passionate sports fans.

If you are deeply obsessed with sports and have experience with end-to-end social marketing including social strategy development, social channel planning, trend mining, content calendar management, community management, influencer identification and outreach, and social reporting – then this is a dream job for you!

Responsibilities
• Help develop overall organic and paid social strategy and vision across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X – working closely with the Senior Social Strategy Lead
• Lead content planning across social channels including developing monthly, tentpole and ad-hoc content briefs – working closely with the Creative Director, Social Creator, and Producer
• Plan and manage content calendars for multiple social profiles, maintaining and evolving publishing strategy across all social platforms ensuring maximum visibility and reach of content assets
• Identify creative opportunities, relevant cultural moments and sports trends, and ways to leverage influencers and partners to create viral moments across social channels that will excite and engage passionate sports fans and attract new subscribers
• Review and approve all social assets from Creative Team and develop copy/appropriate hashtags to accompany content – ensuring 100% accuracy prior to publishing
• Work hand-in-hand with social paid media buying team to align paid and organic content calendars across social channels, constantly looking for ways to create efficiency and synergies
• Create community engagement strategy and oversee community management team – responding to comments and DMs, interacting with sports audiences, and identifying bigger opportunities for engagement across all social channels
• Lead execution of influencer activation program – constantly identifying new social influencers, creators or networks to work with, and working with the production team to outreach to influencers, co-create social content, publish content across social channels, and track and report on outcomes and successes
• Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly social reporting for all social channels in close collaboration with paid media team, ensuring the content being posted is hitting and exceeding benchmarks and growth goals
• Closely monitor and track competitive sports streaming services and their social strategies – using social listening tools, doing manual research, and proactively surfacing learnings and opportunities for the brand
• Pitch innovative ideas for expanding social activation and experiences across new and emerging platforms
• Mentor junior social team members to ensure overall flawless tactical execution day to day across social channels

Qualifications
• A deep, crazy obsession across a range of sports
• 5-7 years working as a social strategist for a sports-focused brand (either in-house or at a notable advertising agency)
• Proven experience with end-to-end social marketing across organic and paid including: strategy, content, influencers, community management, and reporting
• Expert understanding of all major social platforms, their formats and their features, and how their algorithms work
• Experience using social tools including Netbase/Quid, Emplifi and Tagger

• Extensive knowledge of sports, and how to reach and engage current and new fans of teams, players and athletes
• Understanding of the current sports streaming landscape, and tactics brands are using to pull new subscribers in
• Constant pulse around what’s trending culturally within the sports world on social platforms - specifically around micro tren
