About The Role
We are looking for a talented and motivated ETL Developer to join our team remotely, supporting a federal government client. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with clients in a consultative manner, leveraging your solid ETL development experience to make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
As an ETL Developer, you will play a key role in managing data within a large Compliance Data Warehouse, ensuring data is loaded on a weekly basis. Your work will directly support critical missions within health, civilian, and national security sectors, helping to build technology products that make a difference in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
Support extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes for SAP/Sybase IQ databases.
Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and other program logic to manage data creation, updates, and deletions.
Design and implement schema changes, manage indexes, and optimize data objects for performance.
Create efficient data models based on business requirements and usage patterns.
Identify entity relationships, enforce referential integrity constraints, and design primary key structures.
Analyze tradeoffs between alternative schema designs.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including file specifications, schemas, record layouts, business requirements, and test plans.
Mentor junior developers and potentially lead projects or teams.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in SQL development, data modeling, and database security.
Familiarity with SAP Data Services and SQL tools.
Experience with Bash and Shell scripting.
Proficiency in conducting ETL processes on large XML, flat files, and database table data sources.
Experience working in Unix and Linux environments.
Familiarity with tax and financial data is a plus.
