As a Data Analyst Sr within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
As part of the PNC’s Enterprise Data Management organization, the Data Expert will be a member of the Enterprise Data Ingestion and Integration team whose mission is to bridge the gap between Business and Technology to facilitate the alignment, completeness and coverage of release management, requirements management, change management, access management, and production services, for the applications we are the business owners for as well as the capabilities and services we provide to the enterprise.
In this role, the Data Expert candidate will support EDM for Transactional Data Hub (TDH) as well as Enterprise Initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of PNC's Enterprise ecosystem, including both Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Big Data Hub (BDH).
Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and must be able to facilitate and coordinate activities across teams; strong business process and data analysis skills; experience in understanding source to target mapping, data flow diagrams, user guides, and other supplementary product documentation; the ability to manage risk effectively and efficiently; a proven track record for delivering high quality, timely solutions to customers.
Core responsibilities include:
• Provide support to management, line of business users, data scientists, data engineers, and analysts for Enterprise Initiatives.
• Perform analysis, mapping, and validation of transaction data.
• Data requirement tracking from creation through to testing for successful ingest/integration of new data related to Enterprise Initiatives.
• Documenting impacts to Enterprise Ecosystem related to new or changing data.
Communicating impacts to downstream applications. This includes leading meetings and documenting results and providing impact assessments.
• Providing support to downstream users to obtain downstream user readiness acceptance and sign-off.
Preferred skills and experiences:
• Experience with understanding downstream impacts for Enterprise Data Warehouse changes.
Understanding of UDV testing, including data needs and testing requirements.
• Knowledge of EDM ecosystem, enterprise data consumption strategy, guidelines, and policies.
• Experienced in one or more programming languages such as SQL, SAS, or other software for data extraction, and aggregation.
• Experience with ETL tools, data warehouses, Hadoop, Teradata, and Oracle.

• Helps advise business, applications and operations counterparts to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Structures the environment and creates logical storage units especially for size and physical locations, to map database elements into logical units.
• Implements and supports technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses. Resolves data integration and security issues for adherence to the organization's quality standards.
• Researches customers needs, conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.
