Responsibilities:
• Successfully and safely managing commercial vehicles, such as 18-wheelers.
• The driver is responsible for conducting regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle they operate.
• Design a delivery strategy and manage a well-planned route schedule to guarantee punctual delivery of goods.
• Perform cargo loading, unloading, and securing tasks while adhering to all relevant safety regulations.
• Successful coordination of deliveries happens when dispatchers and clients have open communication channels.
• Ensure precision by keeping accurate records of your working hours and vehicle maintenance over time.
• Comply with all safety protocols and regulations set by the DOT.
• It is essential to immediately notify authorities of any vehicle concerns, crashes, or infringements.
• Strive to provide exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to meet your customers' needs and expectations.
Qualifications:
• Having a proper Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record.
• Prospective employees must meet requirements for DOT physicals and drug screens if they intend to join certain professions.
• DOT regulations and safety protocols must be understood and followed by every transportation company to ensure safe and efficient travels.
• Solid organizational skills coupled with effective time management.
• Dexterity in lifting and transporting bulky materials.
• Unmatched talents in customer service and exceptional communication skills.
