Equifax’s ambition is to become a global leader in AI for Data & Analytics. As AI Director (AID) you will serve as a visionary leader spearheading Equifax’s strategy paradigm of “AI Everywhere”. You will be responsible for defining and driving global technical AI strategies throughout the business and ensuring that Equifax leverages the power of AI. This includes delivering a successful commercialization of Equifax’s AI investments through partnerships, partnering with stakeholders across the business where you will identify, test and roll-out use cases for AI.

The AID will ensure continuous improvements in Equifax’s AI capabilities and modeling innovation, defining AI tools and capabilities requirements, driving continuous AI education for the D&A community and broader organization and establishing effective governance and risk management of AI solutions.
What You’ll Do
• Lead Equifax UK’s AI and data science strategy in partnership with global and business stakeholders.
• Defines the strategic vision that can integrate AI strategies seamlessly with business goals and deliver bottom-line results. This will include driving outcomes internally in how we approach our data, externally in how we create new products and analytically in how we extract value from Equifax’s data. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experiences, streamlining operational processes, or creating new revenue streams.
• Continue Equifax’s tradition of developing new AI solutions for strategic use cases (e.g., Neuro Decision Technology) and lead the development of proprietary and patented AI solutions.
• Drive thought leadership and adoption of AI techniques and tools across all D&A teams globally.
• In partnership with Legal, Compliance and Technology develop and maintain effective and efficient governance procedures and processes to manage data science solutions.
• Develop frameworks and procedures for Responsible and Explainable AI in line with Equifax’s vision of being the most consumer friendly credit bureau.
• Lead the continuous education efforts around AI and other Data & Analytics areas leveraging Equifax’s D&A University as well as other training solutions.
• Represent Equifax as an AI leader at industry gatherings and conferences. Support external leadership discussions with customers, investors and analysts.
• Continue to leverage Equifax’s academic partnerships to drive research and innovation as well as on-campus brands for talent recruiting.
• In partnership with platform and technology experts, drive the requirements and roadmap for analytical tools needed for Equifax’s internal analytical use cases. In particular, partner closely with Google to leverage Google’s AI capabilities.
• Co-Lead the AI roadmap of the company in close partnership with the PDAT (Product, Data, Technology and Operation) organization.
• Partner with the Chief Architect to ensure overall technology alignment across all AI Technologies.

What Experience You Need
• A deep understanding of data science and AI is indispensable for the role. This includes comprehension of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and other advanced AI techniques.
• The AID should be adept at change management, ready to tackle resistance, dispel myths, and foster a culture that embraces AI.
• Leadership skills are paramount. You will need to show that you can inspire teams, cultivate trust, and ensure that all stakeholders, from top-level executives to frontline Employees are aligned in the AI journey.
• Strong and effective communication skills are required, with the ability to translate complex AI notions into digestible insights for various stakeholders and audiences.
• Must be inherently curious, always on the lookout for the latest developments, ready to adapt, and eager to innovate.
• Collaboration and cross-functional Interaction are important. You must be capable of interacting with diverse teams, understanding their unique challenges, and integrating AI solutions that cater to their specific needs.
• A deep understanding of the business landscape, market dynamics, and organizational challenges ensures that AI initiatives are not just technically sound but also strategically viable.
• Experienced in navigating the Legal and ethical challenges inherent to AI
• Strong command of prompt engineering to evangelize and guide prompt engineering throughout the AI enabled enterprise
• Strong academic background with a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience and a deep understanding of AI techniques, including among others GBM, Neural Networks, NLPs, and Random Forest.
• Strong track record of leading innovation efforts using data science and delivering meaningful ROI for an organization.
